What: DNOW is a weekend retreat where students stay in town, experience group worship at TFBC, and stay in the homes of church members. We will combine students by grade and have them stay in host home with students of the same gender. Pastor Justin will be speaking and Death2Life will be leading worship.
When: Friday night, Oct. 25th – Sunday morning, Oct 27th. See full schedule below.
Cost: The cost for the weekend is $45. This covers meals, a T-shirt, curriculum for the weekend, and an awesome weekend
Transportation: Transportation will be provided by approved adults . Students cannot transport other students.
Location: Worship session will be at the student building at Thorsby FBC.
All the boys will be staying at the Caton's house. All the girls will be staying at "The 55 Cookhouse" on the Easterlings and Payton's property.
We will have some former college age students coming home for the weekend to lead our students in the small group sessions.
What to Bring:
-Students will sleep on the floor. Bring a sleeping bag or inflatable mattress.
-Snack foods and a 2-liter drink/pack of waters you will enjoy. These will be shared with others in the home.
-Clothes, a Towel, toiletries, medications
-Bible and Notebook
-No prank items, fireworks, or weapons of any kind
Time Away Forms: Some students have games/work and other events during DNOW weekend, and we certainly want them to experience as much of DNOW as possible. In order to keep track of where students are we have created a Time Away Form. It is available at the top of this page and can be printed out and given to the Leader at the Host Home when they arrive Friday night. This form is required for a student to be allowed to leave DNOW at any point.
