Leadership

Marc Hodges was called to serve as Pastor of First Baptist Church on November 13, 2011.  Bro. Marc has served in various capacities in the ministry serving as Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Worship Leader in different church since graduating with a degree in Bible from Pensacola Christian College.  He also holds a Masters Degree from Liberty Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Va.  Bro. Marc’s passion is to people of all ages come to know Christ as personal Savior, and then develop a daily walk with Christ.  “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” (Psalm 34:3)  Bro. Marc and Tricia have three children.  

Justin Caton, raised in Jemison, Al, has been working with youth/college age groups since 2007 when he was called into the ministry. Since then, Pastor Justin has graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and Southwestern Theological Seminary with a Masters in Theological Studies .  Pastor Justin and his wife, Bridget, have been married for 10 years and have a son. On January 8, 2012, our church called Justin to be our Student Pastor.
In October of 2021, the church unanimously voted to amend Pastor Justin's job title and description to include ministry to families as well as students.

Tricia came on Staff at Thorsby First Baptist as Children’s Ministry Director in July of 2019.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, Florida, and has 16 years of classroom experience.  Tricia loves to teaching children about God’s Word and seeing them fall in love with Jesus.
     When not at TFBC, Tricia can be found tutoring, reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.  She and Pastor Marc were married in 1995 and have three wonderful children.

Laura Jones came to TFBC in October 2014. She is a lifelong resident of Thorsby and is retired from the Tax Collector’s Office where she worked in the Motor Vehicle Division for 31 years. She has been married to Mark for 32 years and they have one daughter, Josie, who is married and lives in Muscle Shoals where she attends college. She and Mark are members of Mt. Carmel #1 Baptist Church where she is involved in children’s ministries and Mark is a deacon and works in Men’s ministry and teaches Sunday School. She gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 9 years old and her life verse is Lamentations 3:22-23.
