Thorsby First Baptist Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!
How do I get to Thorsby First Baptist?
We are located at 234 Summit Street, just off Hwy 31 in Thorsby, two blocks down from Dollar General.
Where do I go when I get there?
We have special parking spaces for you! Once you make your way onto our campus, you will notice four A-frame signs in the first row of parking which is near Summit Street.
What is your music style?
We strive to have a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs that is both energetic and engaging during our Morning Worship.
What is your dress code?
We do not have a particular dress code. We ask that you dress modestly and comfortably when you come to worship.
What kind of activities do you have for my children and students?
We offer First Kid’s Worship (Kindergarten-6th grade), Preschool classes for children (ages 2-5), and Nursery is provided during the Sunday School hour - 10 am. Nursery and Preschool care is also provided at 11 am.
All children ages 6th grade and younger check-in with a secure sticker system; the check-in process is quick and easy, and you’re given a secure code where only you can pick them up. In addition, all teachers and caregivers undergo a thorough background check before they’re allowed to serve with children. To pre-register your child, click here.

How do I get connected to a Sunday school class or a Discipleship Group (D-Group)?
In the church gathering area, we have a team of volunteers who want to make you feel welcome and find a Sunday school class. You can also contact the church office at 646-3970 or e-mail Pastor Marc to connect with a Sunday School class or Discipleship Group.
What are your security features for childcare?
We seek to have two unmarried adults in each classroom with children. Our adults who regularly serve in children’s and student ministry have undergone a criminal background check and personal interview prior to serving in these ministries.
